Form of workHighland Retina Associates is a retina only, physician-owned practice that is seeking to add a third full-time Surgical Retina Specialist due to its successful growth. Our office is fully equipped with top-notch equipment including Heidelberg OCT/FA/ICG, Optos FA/ICG, Diagnosys ERG, Iridex Micropulse laser and retina focused EMR. The ASC is equipped with both Constellation vitrectomy machine and Zeiss microscope with Resight. This position is for a fellowship trained, board eligible/certified, ethical Surgical Retina Specialist who is seeking a non-private equity Partnership Track position and values his/her independence and teamwork. Non-Partnership Track position is also an option if so desired. This is a wonderful opportunity for a hard-working, personable candidate who has interest in participating in clinical trials and is easy to get along with. The new associate will start his/her career in our well-designed spacious new office with a strong support staff. Ample supportive mentorship will be available for recent graduates. Academic appointment with Indiana University School of Medicine and teaching opportunity is available. IUSM has a campus in Terre Haute and HRA is involved in teaching medical students and residents.
Our new 13,500 sq ft clinic was built for an efficient flow in a growing area of town in 2022 and a new $350,000,000 casino has opened in that area in April 2024. The founder of the practice is a strong believer in a fair, equitable and ethical treatment of his patients, employees, and future partners and has no plans to sell the practice to any private equity firm.
We are within an hour distance from an international airport and within reasonable driving distance of several other major cities. We are in a midsize college town with a strong health care sector. It is a family-oriented city with a good public-school system. The cost of living is much lower than the national average. This position offers a generous guaranteed base salary based on qualifications and experience with a high production bonus starting immediately along with sign-on bonus, generous paid time off, relocation allowance, full benefits including an advanced retirement plan that includes 401K, profit sharing & cash balance plans. Our office has a mature referral pattern that will assure the new retina surgeon long term growth and success with above average income. After 2 years of employment, the physician will become eligible for a reasonable and transparent partnership if so desired. Call is restricted to the practice with no hospital call and will be shared equally among physicians.
