Surgical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse 36 Hours Day/Night Rotation
The SICU RN role is now eligible for a $5,000 sign on bonus.
Important Details: Bonuses are paid out in 3 payments: $1,667.00 at 30 days of hire, $1,667.00 at 6 Months of Hire, and $1,1666.00 at 1-Year of Hire. To be eligible, you must be a non-BILH employee or a previous eligible employee who returns to BILH after 1 year. Any part-time positions will be pro-rated based off the full-time bonus amount. Employee must be in good standing to receive the bonus at the time of payment. Per Diem roles are not eligible. All bonuses are subject to applicable taxes. If you leave Lahey Health & Medical Center before your first anniversary you will pay back the sign-on bonus to Lahey Health & Medical Center. This program is subject to change at any point.
Job Description:
The Surgical Intensive Care Unit is a 24-bed high acuity unit with clinical specialties in General Surgery, Trauma, Transplant, and Cardiothoracic Surgery. As a level one trauma center, we work closely with our multidisciplinary teams to provide high quality, patient centered care. In addition, this unit sees a wide variety of acutely ill patients who may require additional acute therapies. Our nurses are experts in caring for these patient populations and are continuously enhancing their knowledge to ensure we are up to date with the latest practices and technologies. We, as members of this team, are committed to the delivery of safe, high-quality care to our patients and their families.

Lahey Hospital & Medical Center utilizes EPIC for computerized charting and medication administration. Computerized self-scheduling is available along with every third weekend rotation.

Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- BLS required ACLS certification preferred
- At least 1 year of previous of Nursing experience in acute care or sub-acute setting required
- Critical Care and Telemetry experience preferred
- Massachusetts registered Nurse license required.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
- Lifting 75 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs
