Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is one of the largest and most advanced behavioral healthcare organizations in the country. Nestled near the beaches between the Pacific Coast and Santa Ynez mountains, Devereux California is a therapeutic behavioral health treatment facility offering residential services, community living, day programs, and clinical services for adults with multiple diagnoses including autistic spectrum disorders, emotional and/or behavioral differences, intellectual and developmental disabilities, dementia and other cognitive disorders. Located in Goleta, CA, this position is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the supportive living programs.
Devereux’s California’s Supported Living Services (SLS) and Independent Living Services (ILS) are designed to provide an alternative living arrangement for adults. The services feature apartments and houses throughout Santa Barbara County that provide spacious living for one to five adults who prefer not to be housed in larger group home settings.Personal living plans are created and maintained by each resident, with suggestions from Devereux California’s professional caregivers, and families or guardians. Individualized plans allow residents maximum choice regarding community contacts, staffing preferences, staffing hours and how each individual is to be assisted in their home.
The overarching goal of ILS and SLS is to help individuals live a fulfilling and rewarding life, according to their personal aspirations and choices.Some of our supplemental supportive services help individuals learn new skills, including scheduling daily activities, shopping and meal preparation, travel and transportation, safety and local safety resources, household management, budgeting, banking and bill payments.
Responsibilities of the Program Manager include, but are not limited to:
Providing oversight and coordination to the Supported Living Services program
Developing, implementing, and monitoring treatment plans of individuals served
Actively supervising, coaching, training, and mentoring Supported Living Coordinators
Overseeing the supervision of Personal Attendants (Direct Care staff)
Ensuring that clients’ needs are met according to program design
Communicating with individuals served, their family and/or legal guardian(s), funding agencies, social workers, etc.
Compensation is $65,000- $68,000 annually DOE
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social work, Behavioral Sciences, Education, Special Education, Healthcare or another related field required.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience providing care or supervision to individuals in a related field. Prior supervisory experience required.
