As our Supported Living Onboarding Specialist you will be responsible for coordinating, executing, and actively managing onboarding activities for new hires upon completion of new employee orientation.


Here is what you can do for Wabash Center as our Supported Living Onboarding Specialist:

  • Facilitate effective, high quality communication between new hires and managers for the first 6 months of employment
  • Conduct new hire training and participate in 30-60-90 day interviews
  • Support location specific training for new hires and supervisors
  • Be a resource to new hires and their managers
  • Conduct random house audits to ensure safety and standards of training are being upheld
  • Regularly assess and recommend program and/or training changes and enhancements to drive better retention and engagement of new hires
  • Meeting with new hires on a regular, scheduled basis to encourage, listen and provide constructive feedback
  • Plan, facilitate, and communicate activities bringing individuals and staff together
  • Assist with departmental transitions in positions with new hires
  • Prepare status updates and information for the manager applicable to his or her new employees
  • Stay up to date with innovative and creative ways of onboarding new employees
  • Maintain regular communication with Senior Program Managers regarding feedback from Supported Living Supervisors
  • Conduct initial training and meet 1:1 with Supported Living Supervisors
  • Assist with supporting overall departmental compliance

Wabash Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer

  • High school Diploma / GED preferred. Bachelor's degree in Leadership or Management preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) or similar role working with individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs
  • 2nd shift (2PM - 11PM) required working hours with occasional flexed availability
  • General understanding of HR practices and procedures
  • Valid Driver's License, transportation, proof of insurance and acceptable driving record
