Summary

The Foster Care to Permanency (FC2P) Support Services Coordinator is responsible for the management of family foster care and adoption case records and administrative support for Foster Care to Permanency staff. These duties include the coordination of client records, data systems, and workflow in hubs statewide. We are looking for a part-time coordinator to work remotely 25-30 between the hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday (Days worked can be flexible, hours are firm).

Primary Job Functions

  1. Duties
  • Prescreen and process all foster care/adoption applications statewide; obtaining any missing information needed to perform NC & Out of State criminal and child abuse/neglect checks; data entry information into ECHO and/or Binti.
  • Perform NC Criminal Records checks for all new applications and upload into Binti database; data entry/scan/upload information into Binti.
  • Obtain assignment from Senior Program Directors of Family Assessment Specialist; update information in database system(s).
  • Processing of any needed case documentation for services provided to clients as needed.
  • Assist with preparation and submission of monthly expiration reports for foster care and adoption as needed.
  • Assist with ensuring client records meet the procedures required to comply with guidelines for accreditation, licensure, local area mental health entities, or other appropriate funding sources.
  • Assist as needed for statewide coverage for FC2P Programs as needed.
  1. General
    • Perform other duties related to program goals and projects as needed.
    • Assisting with processing and/or filing of documentation within set timeframes as needed.
    • Attend team meetings (in person or via Skype) as deemed appropriate.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications

Education, Licenses & Certifications:

  • High School diploma or some college experience required; two year degree preferred.
  • Maintain a valid North Carolina driver’s license, adequate auto insurance, and have access to an operating vehicle in order to attend to CHS business.

 

Experience:

  • A minimum of two years’ office coordination experience is preferred.

 

Competencies

Knowledge of:

  • Strong working knowledge of human service systems for youth, young adults, and families and an ability to bring together and collaborate with diverse community partners.

Skills and Proficiency in:

  • Strong organizational skills and resources development experience a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Applications as well as electronic data systems, time sheets, expense reports, use of virtual platforms for meetings.
  • Planning, organization and time management, oral and written communication.
  • Interpersonal relationship building, collaboration, teamwork.
  • Computer systems and MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook, and other software’s needed.

 

Ability to:

  • Ability to work independently from a home office and maintain adherence to deadlines.
  • Must be physically able to use standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, scanners, and fax machines. 
  • Must be physically able to lift/move up to 25 pounds while supporting needs of the clients
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Availability for occasional evening hours
  • Maintain a valid North Carolina driver’s license, adequate auto insurance, and have access to an operating vehicle to attend to CHS business.

Schedule Expectations

Will work a standard scheduled week, which may include evenings. The ability to work flexible hours is required to meet business needs. If working remotely, will be required to be available by telephone and email during specified hours. Occasional travel may be required to conduct business-related activities.
