Assigned to support the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade (CAB), the Supply Technician Lead (STL) is responsible for conducting logistical operations in supply accountability and asset visibility procedures and in the resolution of issues encountered in the process. The Supply Technician Lead will serve as the team lead and subject matter expert for all logistical and supply management functions within the warehouse and will be expected to provide sound and precise data to leadership whenever solutions are required. The Supply Technician Lead will also need to have knowledge of operational policies and supply procedures to better support the customers.
The STL will be responsible for the day-to-day activities and employees assigned to a section, will use organizational resources to determine best practices for program execution, and make decisions in accordance with the contracted work statement. Works with a framework of established supply regulation, policies, and procedures an in the resolution of issues encountered in the process. Perform duties involving request, receive, storage, issue accountability and preservation of individual organization installation facilities and expendable durable property and equipment, operating and maintaining the GCCSS-Army for accountability organizational and installation property and equipment. The Supply Technician will manage the Care of Supplies in Storage (COSIS) program in support of installation needs. Must be prepared to perform other duties as assigned by the Installation Supply Support Activity Supervisor in order to meet organizational/operational objectives.

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:

• Works with a framework of established supply regulations, policies, and procedures and in the resolution of issues encountered in the process.
• Required to screen DODAAC requests for installation organizations for correctness.
• Perform duties and responsibilities of the Installation DODAAC Coordinator.
• Provide analysis and coordinate with national to acquire material for supported customer units.
• Monitor, manage, and direct excess material in support of the Supply Support Activity.
• Contact and request assistance from National for pending requisitions in the supply chain.
• Purge overage requisitions in GCSS-Army for installation organizations.
• Coordinate, request, and assist Supply Support Activities with the referral process.
• Resolve conflicts with overdue shipments to the Supply Support Activity.
• Responsible for the performance and accountability of all operations and personnel assigned to the section.
• Ensures compliance with all properly authenticated directives within established guidelines.
• Responsible for being the Subject Matter Expert (SME) of assigned work area.
• Operates Material Handling Equipment (forklifts) 2,000-6,000lbs.
• Performs Preventative Maintenance Checks & Services (PMCS) before, during, and after use of forklifts.
• Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

• Standard office equipment, associated with computer applications.
• All required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Basic maintenance tools and equipment.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

• Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
• There may be times when an employee is exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions.
• Employee will be required to conduct some outdoor activities, requiring exposure to hot and cold weather conditions.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

• Must be able to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer, copy machine and printer.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• May be required to wear a face mask.
• Must be able to properly wear all required PPE.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Must have a High School Diploma
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• GCSS-A certified at the SSA level.
• Must have or able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
• Valid state driver's license required.
• Forklift licensed preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• Five years' experience on supply operations warehouse level.
• Must have experience and moderate knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in Supply Procedure

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have comprehensive knowledge of Supply Support Activity at the tactical and installation level, as well as Army governing regulations, policies and procedures.
• Above average knowledge of the logistic information polices, process and system that pertain to Maintenance, Supply and Services, and Transportation Services.
• Knowledge and experience with Logistic Information System, such as Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP), Logistic Information Warehouse (LIW), and Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS)/FEDLOG.
• A normal work week is 40 hours (5 days a week), however must be willing to work extended hours and weekends when mission requires.

SKILLS:

• Ability to oversee the day-to-day logistics, maintenance and transportation activities of a division or brigade sized operation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) and SharePoint is required.
• Must have the ability to work independently and in a team-based, highly collaborative environment.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with subordinates, peers and senior personnel.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Leads an employee pool ranging from 3-15 personnel.
