What you need to know about this position:
- The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is assigned to designated commodities (e.g., products and/or services) and is responsible for sourcing and negotiating contracts.
- The Strategic Sourcing Specialist complimenting work with the Clinical Quality Value Analysis (CQVA) Specialist assisting with small to medium scale projects and under the direction of the Director of Supply Chain with large sourcing projects.
- This position assists the Director or manages, at the Director’s decision, key components of bidding events, and post-negotiation, assures critical steps are taken for contract implementation. Strategic Sourcing Specialist may execute contract renewals and extensions, and renegotiate delivery, discounts, payment terms and/or freight terms on existing contracts.
- The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is also responsible for monitoring data to identify opportunities for cost savings, standardization, process improvements, Environmental Social Governance (ESG), Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) performance factors.
- The position serves as a resource for the Purchasing Agents when special requests, item updates and/or supplier issues are escalated for a Sourcing decision.
- The base hourly rate for this position is $25.72. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
- This full-time position would require you to work from 7:00AM-3:30PM, Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week. This position is partial remote eligible.
What is required for this position:
Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma or GED required. Two years of college preferred.
- Courses in medical terminology and health care office management preferred.
- Minimum of three years administrative experience including one year of medical experience required.
