Make an immediate impact and join a high performing Finance team. The Sr. Financial Analyst provides strategic financial consulting to Sr. Leaders in our Supply Chain/Transportation organization. The Sr. Financial Analyst provides financial information helping the Transportation Team manage their business effectively. This involves creating complex financial models for predicting Margin, Costs and other performance metrics. The Analyst manages the annual budget planning process and communicates variances to plan with recommended strategies. The Analyst creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial integrity. The Analyst identifies and analyzes financial trends to help the business make sound decisions impacting profitability.
Responsibilities (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned).
1. Assists in the budgeting and forecasting process for an assigned area of the company.
2. Reviews and analyzes capital requests, ensuring that supporting documentation is included and that business cases are appropriate. Tracks and controls spend against budget. Prepares reporting and forecast future spend. Coordinates with Treasury on leasing.
3. Compiles and analyzes financial information; builds and monitors complex financial models and creates reports to aid in decision making, evaluate different scenarios, understand performance, and better predict future results.
4. Participates in month-end close process. Provides financial review, accrual preparation and results commentary.
5. Supports the business/financial needs of an assigned area.
6. Analyzes and understands cost drivers and other complex financial relationships.
7. Serves as day-to-day contact for an assigned area regarding financial information and questions.
8. Documents and develops efficiency improvements and profit enhancements.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business and/or Finance or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of experience, preferably in finance, business and/or SUPPLY CHAIN.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• Experience with Budgeting/Forecasting.
• Experience with Partnering cross functionally across the organization.
• Experience working with US GAAP principles, preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
