GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Reporting directly to the Director - SIOP & Logistics, the Logistics & SIOP Internship position supports the various functions of the Logistics Department. This includes but is not limited to, Trade Compliance, Operations, Freight audit/payment, traffic and SIOP functions. Must have outstanding analytical, written, verbal communication skills and maintain a high level of professionalism.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collect data and update department KPIs.
  • Help process paperwork and organize outbound and inbound shipments.
  • Track international and domestic shipments for internal requests from Sales, Purchasing, etc.
  • Support the development of department work instructions.
  • Support the department document retention policy.
  • Maintain effective verbal and written communications with departments throughout the organization in order to perform primary responsibilities.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as assigned.
  • Work with the Director of SIOP and Logistics as needed on projects.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Understanding of logistics, Supply Chain practices/procedures a plus.
  • Analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate ability to exercise good judgment; must be self-motivated and have initiative.
  • Must be able to adapt to changing needs and positively promote organizational objectives.
  • Team player who can successfully interact with internal and external organizations and effectively communicate verbally and in writing in a timely manner to ensure positive results.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Google suite and Excel a plus.

EXPERTISE:
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing, i.e., warehouse and assembly operations is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of an ERP system is a plus.

EDUCATION:
  • Obtaining a Bachelor's degree concentration in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations Management is a preferred.

INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONNECTIONS:
  • Internal: Marketing, Sales, Sales Support, Finance, Service, Manufacturing Operations and Services
  • External: Shipping and Freight Vendors.

LOCALIZATION AND TRAVEL EXPECTED:
  • This position is located in West Bend, WI.
  • No travel required.
