Job description

Description
Position at The O'Connor Group
Supply Chain PlannerAmring Pharmaceuticals Inc. sells uniquely positioned and harder-to-manufacture generics that bring value to customers and patients. Amring spends every minute of every day figuring out how to bring historically complex prescription medications to market. Amring's products are generics of value to the market, not high-volume, mass-produced products.
Position Description:
This role, reporting to the Director, Supply Chain, will be responsible for supply planning, customer demand planning, inventory management, and logistics coordination, in support of Amring Pharmaceuticals' commercial product portfolio. This individual will work closely with Amring cross-functional teams, CMO's, logistics partners, and 3PL staff to ensure the timely procurement, shipping, receipt, and distribution availability of Amring's products.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Ownership of the supply and demand planning of Amring products, taking into account CMO capacity and scheduling constraints, and API and critical component inventory, to create a cohesive plan to meet customers' current and future needs while maintaining required safety stock and minimizing obsolescence risk
•Analyze customer demand data to maintain the monthly forecast and to review against sales to highlight any unusual purchasing patterns or discrepancies
•Develop scenario plans for new business opportunities and to prevent supply interruptions
•Support monthly S&OP process by providing key Supply Chain metrics, identifying risks & opportunities, reviewing planning priorities, and presenting master procurement plan to manager for approval
•Create and issue all purchase orders and supply plans/forecasts submitted to CMOs based on S&OP approval
•Attend meetings with CMOs to review current production status for impact on supply plan
•Point of contact for CMOs for purchasing and invoicing questions and monthly inventory reports
•Serve as daily contact with logistics partner/freight forwarder for general questions and to ensure shipments are scheduled on time, and to provide, or review for accuracy, any government required import/export/clearance data or documentation
•Serve as daily contact with 3PL warehouse for general questions, issues with goods receipts, customer orders, inventory analysis and destruction, and master data maintenance
•Work with Amring Quality to ensure required product release documentation, temperature data, and serialization data is received from the CMO or warehouse
•Work with various cross-functional groups (such as Quality, Tech Ops, Regulatory), to proactively and collaboratively resolve issues that may block the timely flow of materials, and respond to internal requests for product, inventory, supply, and demand data
•Respond to customer requests for Amring product master data
•Perform goods receipts and invoice approvals in manual and ERP systems
•Support initiation and completion of artwork changes, change controls, deviations, investigations, and CAPAs
•Complete all GMP and non-GMP training as required
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor's degree
•A minimum of 5 years' experience in a supply planning or demand planning/forecasting role, preferably in pharmaceuticals, generics and CMO experience an advantage
•Understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills a plus (macros, complex formulas)
•Experience with both Excel-based planning and ERP systems
Essential Skills and Abilities:
•Results orientated, with strong sense of urgency to identify and communicate supply and inventory risks
•Comfortable in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, self-directed, and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities and assignments
•Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
•Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
•Comfortable communicating with international suppliers with various cultural styles
•Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
•Project management or six-sigma training desirable
•Strong understanding and working knowledge of cGMPs a plus
•Understanding and working knowledge of Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA)
•Availability outside of standard business hours for international CMO meetings
