POSITION SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Engineer is responsible for supplier management and procurement of medical device manufacturing at restor3d including maintenance of production data, creating support tools, and analyzing key performance indicators.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts for material consumption management and maintain material inventory health status
- Oversee sourcing and procurement systems ensuring scalability
- Supplier management and onboarding of new vendors as needed
- Continuous improvement of systems used to place orders, manage material inventory, estimate material demand
- Support in developing operation plans based on forecasts
- Manage vendor relationships and performance
- Develop strategic sourcing plans for to reduce total material costs
- Utilizes statistical analysis tools to provide data driven recommendations.
- Oversees production databases to ensure accurate and timely cost reporting.
- Analyzes key performance indicators and identifies trends.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Engineering from a four-year college in an engineering discipline (Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, Biomedical, etc.) is required.
- Operations management or Supply Chain concentration is preferred.
- Proven knowledge of Supply Chain practices and operations management is required.
- Proficiency in Supply Chain data management and interpretation is required.
- Strong analytical aptitude and time management is required.
- Demonstrated team building, leadership, and interpersonal skills is required
- Working knowledge of ERP tools such as INFOR or SAP is preferred.
- Working knowledge of GMP, GLP, and GDP is preferred.
- Experience in FDA 21 CFR 820 Quality system is preferred.

- Basic hand tools
- Direct metal printers
- Polymeric 3D printers
- Milling machines
- Wire electric discharge machine
- Media blasting cabinet
- Furnace or ovens
- Materials testing frames
- Packaging and Sealing equipment
- Cleaning and inspection equipment
- Respirator, protective clothing, eye protection, and hearing protection
MATERIALS HANDLING / EXPOSURE
Position may involve handling of or exposure to metallic powders and other powered materials, mill coolant, tapping fluid, polymeric resins, cleaning solutions, inert gases, and acids.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Position may involve management, supervision, and direction of technicians, junior engineers, Interns, and coops.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
- Position requires the ability to intermittently lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- PPE including protective clothing, eye protection, and/or hearing protection and gowning may be required depending on the task performed.
- Position may require extended periods of standing, as well as occasional squatting, kneeling, and working with a ladder.
