Job description

Supply Chain Engineering team is dedicated to creating tools, products, and experiences that power the Supply Chain for the Metaverse and Family of Apps. Our mission is to improve delivery speed, bolster reliability, and consistently meet customer demand, even when confronted with unexpected obstacles. As an Application Engineer in the Supply Chain domain, you will lead the strategic development of software applications that are instrumental in optimizing Supply Chain operations. Your role will involve shaping the architectural landscape, providing technical leadership, and driving innovation to achieve transformative outcomes for the organization.

Supply Chain Architect Responsibilities:
  • Define and communicate the architectural vision for Supply Chain software applications.
  • Create and implement architectural patterns and best practices to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze software requirements.
  • Translate business needs into comprehensive technical specifications and design documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight to the development team.
  • Drive architectural decisions and ensure adherence to architectural principles.
  • Lead the development of advanced software applications, ensuring code quality and adherence to architectural standards.
  • Establish robust testing processes, including unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing, to ensure software reliability and quality.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain management, logistics, and IT, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of software solutions with business objectives.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, industry trends, and Supply Chain innovations.
  • Drive initiatives to continuously enhance software applications and development processes.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with a substantial portion in Supply Chain domain and in an architectural role.
  • 8+ years of experience in programming languages such as Java, C++, or other relevant languages.
  • Effective understanding of software development best practices, including code reviews, version control, and testing.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing complex software architectures.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Deep expertise in Supply Chain management principles and practices.
  • Extensive experience with database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.
  • Proficiency in web application development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Relevant certifications in software architecture or related domains.
