Key Responsibilities:
Job overview and responsibilities
This inventory planning role is required to manage the optimization of ground equipment and facility maintenance parts (40M) across the 30 maintenance locations. Position will ensure the proper ground equipment parts inventory levels are established and maintained thus minimizing inventory costs.
• Develop, implement, and maintain inventory planning strategies for all ground equipment related parts to reduces current inventory costs, improves storeroom effectiveness and increased service levels that lead to reduced equipment needs
• Analyze and plan system inventory levels based on local and global usage, criticality, stock out history, cost data, lead time data and manage the optimum stocking locations, vendors, stock statuses and EOQ -MIN/MAX levels
• Develop, implement, and manage inventory planning metrics and reports measuring service levels, turns, adjustments, surplus and physical inventory
• Manage the compliance as identified
• Identify, analyze, and work with stakeholders to implement system contract opportunities based on financial and inventory optimization strategies
• Support the development and implementation of parts inventory supply and management strategy
• Compile weekly/monthly inventory metrics reports
• Provide coaching/training sessions to personnel at various levels of the organization
Qualifications
Qualifications - External
Required
• Bachelor's degree or related business and project management experience
• 3 years' experience in a maintenance or production planning role
• Travel required (50%)
• Advanced Excel or SQL skills with the ability to learn other analytic tools (Must pass technical skills test)
• Self-starter and independent with ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
• Vendor management experience with understanding of warehouse & technical operations
• Understanding/interest in general automotive & auto repair
• Ability to influence others and lead
