Purpose of Job:
The Product Sourcing Specialist will be accountable for owning and delivering accurate, supplier product and program information for the Sourcing team. Responsibilities include managing the RFP/RFQ process and requirements, Supplier Onboarding, Supplier Product attributes, and Supplier Contractual reviews. The Product Sourcing Specialist interfaces with Product Sourcing Managers, Product Development Managers and cross functional stakeholders to support business requirements and the sourcing strategy. Additional responsibilities include engaging with Finance, Business Unit Pricing teams and other cross functional partners to deliver relevant Supplier and product information in a timely manner.
Job Components:

  • RFQ process and requirements
    • Finalize Product and Program RFQ Requirements from Product Development and Business Unit key stakeholders
    • Submitting RFQ and managing deadlines with supplier(s),
    • Perform initial RFQ assessment (cost and specification targets) and provide insights and recommendations on product/program impact
    • Finalize RFQ with Sourcing Manager, SCM Controller and BU Pricing teams
    • Formalize PCN (product change notice) with Supplier and Item/Ordering setup team

  • Supplier Product Attribute Management and Onboarding
    • Validate, maintain supplier product attribute information
    • Coordinate Product information requests
    • Drive closure on miscellaneous problem resolution requirements (damaged batteries, invoicing errors, etc)
    • Interface with A/P and SCM Analytics team to finalize required documentation for supplier onboarding
    • Develop and maintain supplier "playbooks" detailing product portfolios, technology competencies
    • Develop alternate supply plans based upon supplier offering, competencies, and available capacity planning

  • Supplier Contract Reviews
    • Implements sourcing metrics and accompanying dashboards to assess supplier performance and track key contractual and financial deliverables, including OTIF (On Time In Full) and PPV (purchase price variance).
    • Manage supplier documentation including SOW (Statement of Work), Substitution forms, Monthly Quotes etc.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business (Accounting/Finance, Purchasing and/or Supply Chain preferred) or related field
  • 1-2 years of Sourcing and/or Procurement experience required with demonstrated increases in responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of negotiations, contract management, spend analysis, RFPs/RFQs, OTIF, and PPV
  • Must possess strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including ability to address and resolve sensitive business topics
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and independently
  • Well-polished presentation skills (both in creating and delivering the message)
