Position Title: Supplier Relations Manager

Position Summary:

The Supplier Relations Manager will be responsible for managing the overall supplier population for a Monument managed program from a contractual, Service Level Agreement (SLA), and training perspective. The SRM will schedule and perform Supplier Scorecard Reviews with primary Supplier Contacts as required for this client. The SRM will be responsible for attending and coordinating QBRs with the top 5 suppliers by region. The SRM will enhance and update supplier training materials and lead training sessions as needed. The SRM will identify and recommend supplier rationalization or enhancement opportunities that enable the Account Management team to meet SLAs and ensure client satisfaction. 10-50% travel may be required to perform training and to preside over supplier round table events. The SRM may occasionally be required to perform duties in line with those of account management (requisition management/fulfillment).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Relationship Management

  • Builds and maintains professional relationships with Client Sponsors and Business Line Leaders (Directors and above) within the client’s organization
  • Build strong relationships with Supplier partners
  • Network within Monument Consulting Account Management and other departments
  • Work as an extension of the Account Management Team Leadership (Program Managers)

Service

  • Has a thorough understanding of the business landscape, seasonality and global trends/events, and continually monitors changes in the marketplace relevant to Suppliers and Supplier/Client Contract Requirements
  • Focus on continuous improvement of daily service and delivery to all end users (Client, Monument and Supplier )
  • Responds to and resolves user issues (Monument and Supplier)
  • Ensure supplier compliance with client procurement policies, guidelines, contracts, insurance requirements, and processes
  • Conduct client and supplier training on program requirements/processes
  • Contribute to and participate in Client Business Reviews to provide supplier scoring and audit findings
  • Create and distribute Supplier Performance and Corrective Action Plans and track their implementation and success
  • Coordinate and attend Supplier Quarterly Business Reviews with top 5 suppliers by spend
  • Schedule and produce program update decks (as needed or as part of change management)
  • Create and maintain supplier training documents within the Vendor Management System (VMS)
  • Onboard/offboard suppliers through full contract redlining and execution as appropriate
  • Perform all Supplier Management Activities in accordance with agreed upon SLAs

Supplier Relations

  • Cultivate a solid working relationship with our vendor partners, creating an environment of shared trust and innovation leading Scorecard Reviews and Supplier Round Tables
  • Conduct Supplier user training on program rules of engagement
  • Conduct/Participate in Supplier Scorecard Sessions
  • Contribute to Supplier rationalization strategies
  • Lead/consult on worker audits and remediation with Suppliers
  • Initiate and complete onboarding, tracking, and documentation for new suppliers utilizing the Program Manager or Program Director to resolve redline escalations
  • Maintain prospective supplier management (manage potential suppliers for future additions)

Additional Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks – prioritization, planning and delegation
  • Strong communication, facilitation, relationship management, relationship building, interpersonal and leadership skills with a proven ability to lead, influence and motivate others
  • Must have a strong sense of urgency and the ability to “think on your feet”
  • Must have the ability to generate insights from supplier scorecard metrics
  • Ability to work both strategically and tactically and develop new processes to drive efficiencies
  • Ability to refine, organize and manage contract process for onboarding of large volumes of suppliers
  • Understanding of basic Procurement/Supply Chain processes or working experience with negotiations

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 2-3+ years Professional Experience with supplier/vendor contracts preferred
  • 1-3+ years MSP-VMS experience or equivalent technologies
  • 5+ years Supplier Relations management or equivalent experience required
  • College Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office and demonstrated proficiency
