Job Description Qualifications:
The Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Supplier Quality organization is seeking a highly motivated Supplier Quality Engineer (Associate or Experienced) to join the Quality team in Dallas TX (Red Oak, TX area).
The selected candidate will be part of a global team that is geographically dispersed to assist with development and quality oversight of Boeing's suppliers.
Applicants must reside in/near (within approximately 50 miles) one of the following cities or be willing to relocate at their own expense: Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.
  • Provides Quality interpretation of requirements.
  • Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities.
  • Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
  • Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
  • Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.
  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances.
  • Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
  • Works under general direction.

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or STEM related degree.
  • Experience working in Quality, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, Power Point, OneNote, SharePoint and Teams.
  • Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
  • Experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA).
  • Possess a current valid Driver's License
  • Have the use of a personal vehicle to travel for business reasons

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Level 3: 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in assembly or mechanical work including Structural Assembly Build-up
  • Familiarity and hands-on experience with avionics, electrical and/or electronics
  • Special Processes (i.e. Chemical Processing, Heat Treat, and/or Non-destructive Testing)
  • Computer Aided Drawings (CAD), Digital Product Definition (DPD) and Model Based Definition (MBD) requirements

Typical Education & Experience:
Level 2:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Level 3:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range for associate level (Level 2): USD 78,200 - 105,800
Summary pay range for Experienced level (Level 3): USD 94,350 - 127,650
