Moseley Technical is proud to support this innovative engineering company specializing in software and hardware solutions for acoustics, cybersecurity, weapon launch and control systems, surveillance, complex multi-tiered architectures, artificial intelligence, and machine learning for our National Defense.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procedures to formalize Supplier Quality Processes including supplier approval, supplier feedback, supplier scorecards, supplier corrective actions, supplier communication, supplier audits, first article process, supplier deviations and supplier disbarment.
• Research and work with Procurement to find the best suppliers to provide materials needed for manufacturing process.
• Contact suppliers and liaise between product engineers, manufacturing personnel and suppliers to secure required materials for the production floor. Foster an environment that facilitates continual improvement in working relationships.
• Conduct supplier quality control audits to ensure their facilities and manufacturing environment follow expected standards.
• Perform supplier evaluations and help promote supply chain improvements.
• Member of the Failure Review Boards (FRB) representing the Quality Department for all Quality and reliability issues related to supplier performance.
• Facilitate and lead investigations for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and FACAR reporting efforts with cross-functional teams. Prepare detailed investigation reports and implement corrective actions.
• Extract data from a variety of sources to generate reports and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain a supplier database and include performance evaluations and quality control audits in the database for in-house access by company and manufacturing management personnel.
• Providing technical advice and guidance to suppliers to reduce defect rates.

Qualifications:

• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering) or related field.
• Previous experience as Supplier Quality Engineer.
• Strong understanding of problem solving techniques and demonstration of results and improvements.
• Broad technical knowledge with experience in an electronics assembly and ISO9001 or similar environment.
• Practical knowledge and experience with all aspects of the ASQ CQE Body of Knowledge.
• Ability to provide guidance to improve process efficiency.
• Extensive experience in analytics, high-level problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage a project.
• Ability to pull, manipulate and report on data from various database platforms.
• Comprehensive written and verbal communication, interpersonal, facilitation, presentation, organizational, and follow-up skills.
• The ability to meet deadlines on multiple projects as well as the ability to converse effectively with all levels of personnel.
• Advanced personal computer skills including spreadsheet, word processing, database management, and specialized applications.
• Must be able to handle multiple assignments and also perform in a diverse cross-functional team environment.
• Advanced knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
• Advanced knowledge of government compliance and quality control regulatory standards.
