Supplier Development Lead

In this role, you will be improving the speed and quality of how we onboard new suppliers in Motion NEMA Motors in Fort Smith, Arkansas. And to create continuous improvement with our existing suppliers.
This position reports to
Global Division Supply Chain Manager
Your responsibilities
- Ensure suppliers are ready and capable of launching on new product to support MONM (Motion NEMA Motors) division.
- Work with suppliers to understand capacity and maximize output while minimizing ABB purchased and owned tooling.
- Work with troubled suppliers on quality and production issues to ensure minimal impact on MONM operations.
- Support suppliers in DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) items and cost reduction where technical support is necessary.
- Act as a feedback to CM’s, Quality and engineering on supplier issues where applicable.
Your background
- Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 8 years experience OR Master's Degree with minimum 6 years experience.
- Preferred Experience Includes: Manufacturing, Castings, Motors, Stamping, Injection Molding, Engineering, Quality, ISO Certification, Lean Certification, SAP.
- Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills
- Strong manufacturing background.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
