The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as a Supplemental Payment Analyst. The selected competitive candidate will provide exceptional delivery of services to the agency's Provider Reimbursement Division.
Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
The Supplemental Payment Analyst will assist with the development and implementation of healthcare provider Supplemental Payments, as well as analyzing and evaluating information regarding health policy and budget issues to meet state and federal requirements.
The incumbent will perform work of varied and considerable difficulty requiring advanced data collection, analysis, and the compilation and writing of reports.
The incumbent will also interact frequently with internal and external stakeholders.
The decisions made in this role may impact the effectiveness and efficiency of the Provider Reimbursement processes.
This position will have a significant impact with the potential to gain or lose public goodwill.

Minimum Qualifications
Competitive candidates will meet these minimum qualifications:
Candidates will have considerable experience of financial analysis and reporting methods.
Candidates must have extensive experience in Finance, specific to analyzing data to draw conclusions and recommendations.
Candidates will have considerable experience developing process and procedures for complex financial analysis.
Candidates will have experience evaluating, interpreting, and implementing payment policies.
Candidates must have considerable experience and advanced skills using Microsoft Excel.
Candidates will have experience interpreting and applying state and/or federal regulations to financial model development.
Candidates must have considerable experience adhering to meeting stringent deadlines.
Candidates will have considerable experience communicating with both, internal and external stakeholders.
Additional Considerations
Competitive candidates will meet these additional considerations:
Candidates with experience in project management.
Candidates with knowledge and skills with programming languages, Statistical Analysis System (SAS).
Candidates with knowledge of healthcare claims processing.
Candidates will have experience solving complex problems related to health care services payment policies.
