We are currently seeking a Part-Time Supplemental Instructor - Clinical Assistantwho will adhere to the aforementioned mission statement and who will assist with clinical learning for students in the Sonography program under the supervision of a faculty member.
GENERAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Associate Degree from a regionally accredited institution preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
- Required: Current American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (OB-GYN) (AB) or American Registry or American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registry required.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
- Required:
- 1-2 years of sonography work experience.
- Sonography experience in the clinical area in which one is teaching.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mentor and train Sonography students.
- Assist students with sonography procedures to include; abdomen, OBGYN and vascular studies.
- Evaluate and provide feedback to sonography students as they perform scans.
- Document student progress through testing, observations, and assessment of skills.
- Create lectures and assignments for clinical courses.
- Provide a positive environment for students to be actively engaged in their learning environment.
- Assist faculty in developing and updating protocols.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

- Knowledge of sonography imaging equipment.
- Knowledge of sonography protocols.
- Proficiency in guidance, evaluation and instruction.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand frequently, walk, or sit for extended periods of time, and be able to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Work Conditions: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule (days, nights, weekends, holidays, and varying events as necessary or scheduled).
Working Environment: This job may operate in a variety of clinical settings.
Salary: $20.00/hour
