Supervisory Vessel Traffic Management Specialist, Gs-2150-12

This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, Eighth District, Sector New Orleans in New Orleans, LA.

To Qualify for the GS-12:  Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. 

Examples of specialized experience include:

• Supervising and/or leading Vessel Traffic service operations; assisting in the responsibility for overall readiness, appearance, good order and discipline of the Vessel Traffic Center.
• Assisting in carrying out special assignments and collateral duties including, but not limited to serving on panels boards or research projects.
• Operating a variety of surveillance sensors, communications, data processing, keyboard and other electronic equipment.
• Assisting in carrying out duties prescribed by a commanding Officer during actual or simulated wartime conditions.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
