Prevent unauthorized entry, theft, vandalism, trespassing and other criminal activity. Provide security and safety to employees and others. Patrol ground and facilities by vehicle or by foot. Control access at gates, doors, and properties as assigned.
Supervise, direct and coordinate activities relating to the protection, safeguarding and security of credit union assets, employees, members, and others. Prepare daily work assignments and schedules to include the daily schedule of all assigned personnel. Follow, advise, recommend, assist in the formulation of organizational goals and objectives. Follow, implement, and monitor security policies, procedures, protocols, and programs.
Investigate and resolve security related issues. Provide security during special events, meetings, and functions. Perform pedestrian and vehicle traffic direction. Respond to routine and emergency circumstances and act as necessary.
Provide armed response and resolution to critical incidents such as workplace violence, active shooter incidents, bomb threats and other serious security threats. Exercises independent judgment while carrying out overall responsibilities and other activities as assigned while complying with federal, state, and local regulations. Coordinate staff when responding to critical incidents and emergencies. Investigate and resolve security related issues.
Carryout periodic inspections of posts and personnel. Work flexible hours and overtime, as necessary. Complete any other job-related duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and abide by our Organization’s Values. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of two (2) years law enforcement, security supervisor, military and/or armed security experience. Successful completion of a fit for duty evaluation. Obtain/maintain Texas Level III Commission and Level IV Personal Protection Officer license. Maintain certification in CPR, first aid and AED.
Must be physically able to walk all areas of the facilities and grounds, climb stairs and stand for long periods of time. Must be physically and mentally capable of engaging and/or restraining disruptive or violent individuals. Able to interact professionally with employees, vendors, and visitors. Valid driving license within assigned region, a good driving record and insurability.
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may occur. Good organizational and written skills, a strong ability to multitask, good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels of responsibility within the organization. Competence and proficiency with handgun and assigned control devices. Experience with access control, video management and radio communication systems.
Ethical, organized and composed. Experience using relevant security technology and equipment. Working knowledge of MS office programs and other related software. Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
