Responsibilities Job Summary The Self-Pay Revenue Cycle Supervisor supervises centralized personnel assigned to self-pay collections for the hospital and professional business offices and is responsible for monitoring productivity and quality guidelines for collections and maintaining all employee standards, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures. In addition, the Self-Pay Revenue Cycle Supervisor will plan, organize and oversee the daily operations of self-pay billing/collections, including professional and facility lines of business.Monitors third party vendor and communicates trends and areas for improvement. Assist with billing questions from different departments within network and monitors established workflows to ensure work meets established standards and guidelines. Communicate with employees and leaders is an effective and timely manner. Complete daily tasks as assigned. Research and answer questions from third party vendor related to self-pay accounts. Tracks and audits patient A/R on an aging rotation for professional and facility accounts. Assigns and monitors WQ assignments related to credits, financial assistance, payment plans, return mail and other account related duties. Supervises collector work files for productivity as well as quality of work. Reviews and resolves difficult customer service complaints. Identify and work with other teams to correct potential problems of the billing process. Provide feedback to manager on Revenue Cycle concerns. Oversee the staff and ensure adequate staffing levels, inclusive of hiring/onboarding, evaluating, managing performance, coaching and developing employees ensuring employee productivity, quality of work, and alignment of goals with our mission, vision, and values. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED Required Experience 3 years Healthcare customer service environment such as hospital or medical group registration or hospital and/or physician billing/collections, including two (2) years in a supervisory or leadership role (supervises staff in the absence of a supervisor, such as a lead).
