About the Role
The Production Supervisor will lead, train, coach, and develop personnel to ensure capabilities to meet performance requirements for production and delivery including: quality assurance disciplines and techniques, manufacturing processes, configuration control, maintenance of IPE/OPE, to ensure continuous improvement in processes and products.

· 9-80 Work Schedule (This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off).
Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role
· Work as an integrated member of the team to perform material handling, maintenance sub-assembly, assembly, system integration and testing operations to assure completion of required production requirements.
· Create an atmosphere that fosters quality and continuous improvement within the work unit.
· Qualify team personnel to perform the work requirements.
· Determine team requirements and initiate action to assure the team acquires required resources.
· Interface with internal and external departments, customers, and suppliers.
· Identify performance measurements, establish goals and targets, and assist in the development of direct and indirect budgets.
· Participate as a key member of the ISO process teams.
· Act as a leader for all reducibility, design form manufacturing and activities related to ensuring smooth, efficient and transparent transition for new products from design to production.
· Assist in the performance of project, program and product management tasks.
· Assist in coordinating planning, integration and start-up activities to include proposal preparation.
· Analyze and assist in the preparation of process and quality assurance requirements to include tooling, fixturing, and work instructions.
· Perform first echelon supervisory functions for the team including assignment of work, timecard approval, work scheduling, material ordering, and performance reporting.
· Assist in preparing Engineering Change Proposals (ECP’s) to resolve problems as a result of production problems, engineering problem reports, or material problem reports.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Sought
· Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred.
· 3-6 years of related experience in a manufacturing or military environment.
· Previous supervision experience is preferred.
· Must be proficient on desktop, laptop, tablet personal computing devices.
· Must have a thorough knowledge of the use of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) as well as the ability to use interfacing applications, including word processing, and spreadsheet construction.
Additional Information / Desired Experience
· Previous experience working on ground combat Vehicles desired.
· Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime as required.
· Occasional extended work schedules and travel to other GDLS sites or work locations may be necessary.
· Proven interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
· Proven problem-solving ability.
· Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance for access to the Anniston Army Depot.
