The Opportunity

This position works out of our Caguas location in the Structural Heart division. Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease. 

Shift: Second, Monday to Friday

As the Production Supervisor, you will provide team leadership in the day-to-day activities for an assigned production area or work group. Responsible for the development and implementation of production process excellence activities; identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities in production processes, plans tasks and solutions. Reports to functional and/or organization management on team accomplishments, achievements and productivity.

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
  • Retains responsibility for product from initial assembly to final distribution. Schedules and organizes assigned manufacturing lines to achieve 100% product availability and maintain targeted levels of inventories.
  • Monitors daily work metrics and provides direction and guidance to skilled nonexempt staff to achieve unit or project goals.
  • Communicates to line personnel daily while maintaining a constant line presence.
  • Motivates and energizes personnel to obtain top performance.
  • Maintains a safe work environment with 100% training and compliance to applicable procedures.
  • Responsible for achieving department attendance targets including immediate feedback to employees by instance.
  • Communicates with other departments and functions as needed in support of meeting operational objectives.
  • Oversees personnel and processes to ensure production meets all associated quality standards.
  • Oversees personnel and processes to ensure full compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Able to respond to internal and/or external indicators that impact the business and/or industry.
  • Monitor and report financial performance of assigned production line(s).
  • Develops direct reports by securing appropriate training, assigning progressively challenging tasks, rewarding positive behavior, and applying disciplinary action as appropriate.
  • Support and implement new, customer-focused processes in accordance with lean principles and practices. Provide training and coaching to improve standard work, work center organization (5S), and housekeeping. Actively provide change leadership as required.
  • Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Minimum 1-year Prior supervisory experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or electronic industry or process knowledge and proven track record that demonstrates leadership.
  • Capacity to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills and capable of communicate both in Spanish & English.
  • Computer knowledge in Microsoft Office applications and SAP software. 
  • Knowledge of ISO and quality systems is a plus.
  • Must have good people skills with the ability to energize and motivate a staff.

The base pay for this position is $53,300.00 – $106,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
