Salary Range: $19.15 per hour to $30.23 per hour based on experience.

Basic Functions:
- Opening and closing daily FOOD SERVICE operations, appropriate cash handling, maintaining temperature AND FOOD usage reports and performing other duties as assigned.
- Assist in menu planning by coordinating efforts in ordering of appropriate supplies, preparation of food and serving of food.
- Communicate with other departments regarding FOOD SERVICEs and participate in complaint resolution as needed. Conduct quality control inspections (including inspecting prepared foods for color, taste, aroma and temperature; monitoring work areas for cleanliness, sanitation, safety and security; inspecting equipment and facilities for reasons of sanitation and maintenance, monitoring inventory levels) and taking corrective action.
- Coordinate directing, instructing and advising staff on changes in policies, procedures and work standards to ensure the provision of quality food and service to patients and families, facility and staff.
- Coordinate interviewing, selecting, training, evaluating, counseling and supporting staff in the Dining and Nutrition Department.
- Develop and monitor staffing schedules and overseeing the processing of staff records such as time sheets and leave requests.
- Plan, assign, and review the work of staff. Demonstrate to staff appropriate methods and procedures to complete work assignments. Review staff's work in progress for adherence to appropriate methods and procedures and completion of work in a timely manner. Monitor staff's workload and productivity in order to meet the department's workload and productivity standards. Assist management in monitoring department operations and objectives to ensure quality services are being provided.
- May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.
- Two (2) years of experience in a services industry (retail operations, FOOD SERVICE, hospitality, customer service, housekeeping, etc.
- ServSafe certification within ninety (90) days as a condition of continued employment in this job classification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Supervisory experience. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. This position is very active and may require ambulating, remaining in a stationary position and positioning self to reach and/or move objects above the shoulders and below the knees. The employee may frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 lbs. and occasionally move objects up to 25 lbs. This role may also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
