You will lead an operations team at Wolfspeed’s state of the art, highly automated, Mohawk Valley Wafer Fab in New York. The Production Manager oversees each aspect of the production process; trains and supports staff and provides vital information on production goals. Your leadership will set the tone for the team’s success. Finally, Safety for your team and product are a vital responsibility.
This manager will hold responsibility for a 12-hour shift working from 6:00 AM to 6:15 AM.
The Day-to-Day:
- Maintain a safe working environment for all employees
- Maintain leadership presence by spending at least 80% of your time interacting on the fab floor
- Monitor team and individual performance. Evaluate and improve productivity, equipment utilization and overall efficiency
- Support 5S activities across the entire fab
- Establish and communicate production priorities. Track performance and adjust priorities accordingly
- Initiate, encourage, and drive continuous improvement efforts
- Provide team with constructive and timely feedback. Enforce company and local policies and procedures.
- Maintain positive working relationships with all levels in the organization.
- Manufacturing experience with 2+ years in a leadership role, or equivalent manufacturing experience as a front-line supervisor (3-5 years) or relevant military experience
- Passion to inspire and develop employees while working in a dynamic, fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Ability to handle change quickly and efficiently – Fast paced work environment.
The posted salary range is what Wolfspeed reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual pay for a hired applicant will be determined based on the individual’s job-relevant qualifications, experience, and other determinative factors. In the event it is determined that a different job level upon hire is warranted then that range will be communicated to the hired applicant as soon as reasonably practicable.
