General Dynamics Electric Boat, the nation's premier designer and builder of nuclear submarines, is seeking an IA and IT Infrastructure Supervisor to join our team.
D475 seeks a highly motivated, self-starter to lead a new group within the department. The position is for a supervisor to build and lead a team responsible for the EB's Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program Network's (NNPP Net) Information System Security. This position requires a thorough understanding of cybersecurity policies and procedures that are required by the NISPOM, DAAPM, CNSSI No. 7003, Information System Security Plans, system configuration requirements, corporate directives, pertinent DoD instructions and other contractual security requirements.
This team's responsibilities include:
- Lead Incident Response for the department.
- Design and architect network infrastructure using PDS as appropriate.
- Security (documentation) and technical (design/build) lead for projects expanding / extending the network within and beyond the EB footprint.
- Develop policy, plans and strategy as appropriate to meet security requirements (DAAPM, STIGs, PDS, etc.).
- Configure SIEM tool to capture and retain logs, monitor and detect threats, including data for ISSO audits.
- Implement and maintain user and entity behavior analytics.
- Primary users of cybersecurity applications including IBM QRadar, Tenable SecurityCenter, RSA Archer, eMASS.
- Lead/go-to for evaluating invoked security requirements to assess intent and mediate as necessary.
- Develop and maintain department policies and procedures, including business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work in a fast-paced team environment. The position provides challenging work and a means to continue gaining business skills and broadening experience. The ability to manage multiple competing priorities is important.
Department manages a classified information system so position is on-site. Regular remote work is not permitted.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's degree or higher in IT or Cyber field.
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Related certifications and licenses such as CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, cybersecurity.
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred:
- Previous leadership experience.
- Experience with security hardening guidelines such as DISA STIGs.
