Performs a wide range of safety related duties in the Medical Center and its satellite facilities. Conducts hazard surveillance inspections of all departments of hospital. Responsible for fire prevention activities to include fire drills, inspections and training.
Organizes and conducts Emergency Management drills. Ensures organization wide emergency preparedness through development of programs/procedures and training. Maintains OSHA log and reports annually to OSHA.
Responsible for hospital-wide and departmental safety related problem solving. Responsible for developing and revising CHS organizational Environment of Care plans, policies and procedures. Computerization of safety programs to includes databases, spreadsheets and standardization of forms.
Maintains/establishes organization wide performance improvement activities relating to the environment of care. High School Diploma or equivalent required. College courses in Safety and/or security preferred.
Two (2) years' experience in related safety/security field, computer literate. Working knowledge of OSHA, JCAHO, AND NFPA Laws, standards and regulations required.
