Summer School High School Student Stem Camp Assistant

Primary Purpose:
Assist teacher in preparation and management of classroom activities and technology in a STEM Camp environment. Work under supervision of certified teachers, Instructional Coach, and Director.
Qualifications
Education/Certification:
Manor ISD High School student (currently in grades 9-12); must be at least 16
Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Ability to work well with children and adults
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to use personal computer, iPads, robotics kits, and software.

Experience:
Preferred experience working with children.
Essential Job Functions:

• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and technology.

• Assist with administration of STEM equipment and work assignments.

• Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.

• Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.

• Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups.

• Keep teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual students.

• Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.

• Participate in faculty meetings and special events as assigned.

• Maintain confidentiality.

• Report to work in a timely manner according to assigned schedule.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or other administrator that are consistent with the general requirements and qualifications for the position.
