Job Description
Position: Summer Research Intern
Study Title: Access to Holistic Cancer Care through NCCN Distress Thermometer Results and Subsequent Referrals
Position Overview: Complete a literature review on current use of the NCCN Thermometer, write an Interview Guide for the study's use and other tasks connected to the study if time allows.
Responsibilities:
- Locate, evaluate and share relevant literature review materials.
- Connect with the NCCN for background on healthcare worker guidelines for the Distress Thermometer, if necessary.
- Make recommendations from the literature review for study design and outcomes.
- Write an interview guide for the qualitative research portion of the study.
- Meet weekly with the assigned associate of the Cancer Companions Oncology Advisory Board with a Phd or MD for mentorship and guidance.
Education: Currently in a Masters or PhD healthcare related program.
Format: Work remotely
Dates: June 1st- August 1st. (or 8 weeks mutually agreed upon)
Hours: 15-20 hours/week in addition to mentorship meetings
Stipend: $1000
