OMG's Manufacturing Engineering Department is currently working on many important initiatives and projects. Reporting to a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, the Manufacturing Engineering Intern will support the team with during time studies, plant layout work, and Facilities related projects. This position will work with internal and external team members to provide relevant analysis and support.

OMG's Manufacturing Engineering Department is currently working on many important initiatives and projects. Reporting to a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, the Manufacturing Engineering Intern will support the team with during time studies, plant layout work, and Facilities related projects. This position will work with internal and external team members to provide relevant analysis and support.
Responsibilities
- Promote Safety as the Number One priority of all OMG employees.
- Assist in daily activities related to time studies and entry of manufacturing standards into QAD.
- Assist in daily activities related to plant layout for various OMG facilities in Agawam.
- As required, additional facilities related projects, including interface with internal and external team members to provide necessary analysis and information.
- Assist in maintaining project records and progress reporting.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering/ Manufacturing Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proficient in AutoCad or similar CAD software.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, focus and influence.
- Some ability with project planning and project management skills for large-scale, long duration projects. Ability to provide update presentations to small and medium sized groups of management, in-person and remote formats.
- Some ability to work positively/effectively across an organization and with customers/external support resources.
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects and tools, reach with hands and arms, regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work and contribute as part of a team
