OUR PROGRAMSalary.com provides a customized Summer Internship experience for High School Junior and Seniors, and College Students in the Greater Boston area. Our custom Internships allow Students to explore a career area while developing business skills in a real-world setting. We work closely to mentor and create a detailed work plan for each intern student.
We are looking for a Human Resources Intern to join our team this summer!
Pay:
$15/hour
Location:
Fully remote position with IT equipment provided. Optional opportunities to visit our office in Waltham, MA.
Hours:
This is a 6-week Internship from June 24th-August 2nd, 2024. Please note, due to the short nature of our summer program, we will NOT be able to consider candidates who are unavailable for any weeks or consecutive days during the full 6-week period.
20 hours per week with three options for shifts. NOTE: The shift you select will remain consistent throughout the 6 weeks.
- Monday-Friday 10am-2pm EST
- Monday-Friday 12pm-4pm EST
Major/Interest:
Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, Organizational Management, Business related management/administration.
Role Responsibilities:
Recruiting
- Creating job ads, shadowing/conducting interviews, taking interview notes, database management within Applicant Tracking system, communicating with hiring managers.
Benefits
- Training in benefit administration, exposure to benefits database management.
Onboarding
- New hire process, sitting in on orientation, co-hosting orientation, preparing new hire materials, regular check ins with new hires.
Engagement
- Research and development of engagement programs, involvement with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, partnership with Learning and Development, co-facilitate a virtual employee event or activity.
Compensation
- Exposure to compensation planning, comp tools, benchmarking job project.
Students will partner with the Employee Experience team who will...
- Guide students through the entire internship process, including placement.
- Assist in building mentor relationships throughout Salary.com.
- Advise on updates to student's resume and LinkedIn profile.
- Provide feedback and mock interview opportunities with coaching.
- Be available for letters of recommendation and references after completion.
- Meet with students and mentors throughout the internship.
- Be available to answer questions and assist students.
