AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies offers paid Summer Internships to students enrolled in full-time undergraduate or graduate degree programs.
As an AmeriHealth Caritas intern, you will learn about the healthcare industry, our Medicaid and Medicare plans, pharmacy benefits management and behavioral health care - and how we are working to improve access to health care for all Americans. You will also join us in building healthy communities through active service projects that support our mission.
- Candidates must be enrolled in a college degree program and have completed the first year of college (rising Sophomore) by the start of the Summer Internship program.
- Undergraduate candidates must be working toward a 2-year or 4-year degree.
- College graduates interested in an internship must be enrolled full-time in a post-graduate program or professional school (e.g. master's program, law school) at the start of the internship program.
- Candidates must have an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 GPA scale.
- Candidates must have unrestricted work authorization.
- Candidates must be able to work a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office, 2 days remote) at our campus in Newtown Square, PA from June 3, 2024 to August 9. 2024.
Responsibilities:
The Summer Intern will assist with activities in the Shared Services - Enterprise Architecture department such as Develop Solution Architecture Document, Project Plan, Estimations and Research on upcoming technology. The Summer Intern will also assist the project team with design and technical support on projects.
Duties include:
- Review ACFC Architecture Blueprint and understand the different components.
- Architecture/Design meeting participation and notes taking (Identifying key action items)Review and understand Agile and Waterfall Methodology.
- Review Current state/Transition State and Target State Architecture.
- Review and understand ACFC Cloud Architecture.
- Support research technology topics.
- Update EA SharePoint.
- Support Technology Lab activities.
- Assist in building/updating the Architecture intake process.
- Review the Application Catalog and update the missing information.
- Participate in ideation and conceptual architecture.
- Assist EA with Visio diagrams and call flows, and build Architecture viewpoints.
- Participate in vendor evaluation meetings.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft products in general (Outlook/Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Visio) would be helpful.
Education & Experience:
- Major in Computer Science.
- Strong communication skills to effectively correspond verbally and in writing.

- Excellent oral, written, and graphic communication skills.

- Strong rendering skills and graphics.
- Excellent analytical and presentation development/delivery skills.
- Proficient in any modern programming language such as Python, C#, Java, etc.
