Schnucks' Summer Intern Program is an immersive corporate internship based from our St. Louis, Missouri headquarters. Interns gain real-world experience in their designated department, and collaborate on a cross-functional, inter-disciplinary group project to present at the end of the summer. These are paid internships that require full-time attendance 6/3/2024 through 8/9/2024.
The 2024 Communications Summer Internship supports multiple initiatives for internal and external communications in a retail grocery and corporate culture while introducing the candidate to Schnucks' corporate culture.

The 2024 Communications Summer Internship supports multiple initiatives for internal and external communications in a retail grocery and corporate culture while introducing the candidate to Schnucks' corporate culture.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Research and development of creative copy for internal communications focused on teammate development, education, and awareness.
- Support external communications strategy for public relations needs such as media pitches, releases, and story development.
- Provide optimization support to internal digital communication tools, including the company's intranet and digital monitor system.
- Cross-functional group project collaborating with other interns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Required Education: Current and Fall 2024 enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree program, preferably in Communications or Journalism, and completed at least 30 credit hours.
- Available to work full-time Monday through Friday 6/3/2024 - 8/9/2024.
- Interest in Schnucks advancement post-graduation.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience and comfort with utilizing Google Suite products.
- Excellent writing skills, with attention to details and deadlines, as well as a familiarity with AP Style.
- Ability to build relationships to support the organization's communication efforts.
- Receptive to growth opportunities and displays flexibility to change.
- Must be able to work remotely as necessary.
- Strong ethical integrity and values consistent with Schnucks culture.
Additional Requirements - Internal candidates:
- Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks.
- Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks.
- Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
- If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
