Summer English Teacher

Our summer program has been a staple of the Flushing community for over 28 years. We are located at JHS 189Q and will run from July 1 to August 16, 2024. More information can be found on our website at www.nymcs.org. We are currently seeking talented teachers for the following classes:

G1-6 Reading & Writing

SHSAT

PSAT

SAT

Preferences:

• Degree or pursuing in related field (student teachers welcome)
• leadership skills to engage a group of 10-25 students
• productive, courteous, and empathetic when interacting with students, family, and colleagues
• able to create engaging PowerPoints and lesson packets
• available Monday through Friday

Opportunities in our After School and Saturday programs during the school year are also available for well-qualified candidates.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 20 per week
