As an Engineering Intern at our roofing manufacturing facility, you will work closely with our engineering and leadership team to support the design, testing, and implementation of our roofing production equipment and processes. This is a hands-on role where you'll gain practical experience in a manufacturing environment, contributing to our commitment to safety, quality, and making the world a better home.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program.
Strong academic record and a passion for manufacturing and product development.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in team settings as well as independently.
Familiarity with engineering software and tools is a plus.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Additional Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and development of roofing production equipment under the guidance of experienced engineers.
Participate in the testing and evaluation of new and existing equipment, documenting results and suggesting improvements.
Support the engineering team in troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing process issues.
Engage in process improvement projects, applying engineering principles to enhance efficiency and quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety), quality, production, maintenance, and logistics to ensure project success.
Participate in safety audits and adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
Conduct research on industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to manufacturing.
