Job description

Job Description

Mad Science is currently hiring full-time summer lead and assistant camp instructors from June through August! Camps run from 9:00 - 3:00 pm, so you could be out of work as early as 3:15/3:30pm almost every weekday this summer!
Facilitating Mad Science Camp programs requires high energy and working with children. But, you don't have to be a scientist to work with us! We'll teach you everything you need to know and all the Mad Science tricks before sending you off on your own.

As a Lead staff, you will be in charge of facilitating our curriculum. Most of the time, you will have the aid of our Assistant Instructors. You teach just one topic for the entire summer. Some topics include Robotics, Chemistry, Engineering, Inventing, Anthropology, and more! We do our best to match you with your desired themed for the summer.
Your daily hours come to about 6.5-7 hours. After the first week, we build proficiency in our process. Please note, at our Portland location we run Aftercare, this runs until 5:30pm and we provide additional compensation. We have some weeks built in as days off, with the options to assist others or take the week off.
