We are seeking a passionate, calm, and innovative Summer Camp Head Chef to join our team for the upcoming summer season.

Job Description:

As a Summer Camp Head Chef, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our campers and staff enjoy delicious, nutritious, and memorable meals throughout their Summer Camp experience. You will have the opportunity to create a positive impact on the camp community by preparing and serving meals that energize and satisfy our campers.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and serve well-balanced meals for campers and staff, considering dietary restrictions and allergies.
• Create weekly menus that are both nutritious and appealing to campers of all ages.
• Manage kitchen inventory, order supplies, and maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Supervise kitchen staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support consistently.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Foster a positive and inclusive dining experience for campers and staff.
• Collaborate with camp leadership to accommodate special events and dietary needs.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a chef in a camp, restaurant, or similar setting.
• Knowledge of Kosher style, nutrition, dietary restrictions, and meal planning.
• Ability to work and stay calm in a fast-paced and high-energy environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to meticulous detail.
• Excellent communication (especially active listening) and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the unique needs of a Summer Camp kitchen.
• ServSafe certification or equivalent is a plus.
