JOB SUMMARY:
The Summer Camp Counselor is responsible for working, supervising and organizing safe and fun play time with the children who are attending Summer Camp at the Club. The Summer Camp Counselor will be playing sports with the campers, participate and organize arts & crafts and swimming. The Summer Camp Counselor is expected to maintain the Club’s high standards of excellence for appearance, hospitality and service in personnel and cleanliness in all areas of the Club.
Important Details:
Job Dates: Training and in-service will be held late May/early June. The camp dates are from June 11, 2024 to July 26, 2024.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead by example, have a positive attitude and be a role model for the campers.
- Help set up and break down activities with the assistance of the Camp Director and Head Counselor.
- Assist campers in activities, such as games, arts & crafts, and lunch.
- This camp includes golf, tennis and swimming. Counselors will help bring campers to and from each discipline.
- Maintain positive communication with parents, children and members.
- Be energetic and have fun!
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- The Camp Counselor must be a positive and upbeat team-player!
- A passion for customer service and working in the hospitality industry.
- A team attitude and an ability to work well with everyone on the team.
- Prioritize tasks with the goals of the team in mind.
- Make the members and guest service a priority.
- Good communication skills
- Flexible in schedule availability according to business needs.
- Must be able to communicate in the predominant language of members and guests.
- Maintain a clean uniform that consist of a club polo shirt (club provides).
- Maintain a consistent presence in all member areas and be visible and accessible to all members.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Previous camp or childcare experience preferred
- Previous employment in the hospitality/Club industry or environment preferred.
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Must be available to work for the entire camp season, June 15 through the month of July.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to handle or feel. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30-50 pounds and be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must have the ability to multi-task and complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
