Summer Camp Counselor

Summary
We are looking to hire a Camp Counselor for our Explorers Summer Camp with a fun, energetic personality. Taking daily field trips that does require some walking / riding the bus while supervising and engaging with children ages 6-8 years of age.
Hours: 8:30am-5:30pm, with the possibility of coming in earlier for select field trips that require an earlier departure. May 13th through August 9th, with one week of unpaid vacation July 1st-5th. (paid for Independence Day).
Duties
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, all the requirements listed below.

• Treat all children with dignity and respect
• Model communication and mediate conflict resolution
• Support children if/when toileting accidents occur.
• Serve meals
• Attend school functions
• Conduct regular informal parent/teacher communication on each child's school adjustment, classroom behavior.
• Supervise the classroom at all times
• Communicate effectively and professionally with children, families, and co-workers
• Delegate tasks and communicate with co-workers regarding completed tasks.
• General Housekeeping task such as but not limited to, decluttering, sanitizing/disinfecting, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping/mopping floors, etc.

Requirements
A warm, sensitive, mature individual who relates to children and adults.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Drug screen, Fingerprint/Background check, TB test, and physical health screening.
• Certified in pediatric CPR First Aid
• 1-2 years of experience working with young children
