Summer Camp Counselor

Each year, you have only one summer.
This summer, consider spending it making the difference in the life of a child, while gaining valuable career skills such as leadership, communication, public speaking, supervision, problem solving and decision making.

Before applying, please be aware of the following:

• All staff must have their own living accommodations in San Diego and be able to transport themselves to and from camp every day.
• All staff must be available for the full summer (June 8th - August 9th). As this is a nine week position, there is no option for days off.
• We do not have a J1 Visa sponsor, and thus can only hire US citizens.

Outpost Summer Camps is looking for outgoing, amazing people to join our staff! Our counselors are trusted leaders who make a difference in others' lives, and in their own, in just one summer at camp.

Pay: $16.85 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Outpost Summer Camps is a Day Camp located in San Diego, California. We do not provide housing for staff; counselors are responsible for their own housing and transportation. Do you have somewhere to live in San Diego this summer?
• Our summer season runs from June 8th to August 9th, including training. Due to the nature of our short and seasonal position, we highly recommend that any applicant be available to work all of these days. Please explain in detail your summer availability. If you cannot work one or more of these dates please list each date and the reason that you're not available.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• First Aid/CPR Certification (Preferred)
