Form of workCoinbase is seeking interns with interest in Security to join our Security team and help design, review, build and deploy new features that improve existing products like Coinbase.com Custody, Wallet, etc. You will solve unique, large scale, highly complex technical problems. You will help build the next generation of systems to make cryptocurrency accessible to everyone across the globe operating real-time applications with high frequency, low latency updates, keeping the platform safe from fraud, enabling delightful experiences, and managing the most secure, dockerized infrastructure running in the cloud.
What you'll be doing (ie. job duties):
- Work with engineers, product managers and senior leadership on designing, implementing and deploying secure products from the ground up.
- Write high-quality, well-tested code in Go, Python, Ruby or Java to scale the discovery of security bugs across all company products.
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
- Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
- Have programming experience in at least one of Golang, Python, Ruby, NodeJS
- Having passion for and/or experience in securing products used by users around the world
- Self-motivated and committed to personal growth
- Approach problems with positive energy
- Ability to work on several initiatives at the same time
