The Aruba Product Cybersecurity team works to ensure that we are delivering secure products to our customers. This team asks and answers three questions:
1. What should we be doing to build products securely?
2. Are we doing those things?
3. Are we getting better?
With security as a key priority for the company, the answers to these questions are shared regularly with senior management and with the board of directors.
We are looking for someone studying computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field who has an interest in security vulnerabilities and how to prevent them. We'll expose you to the inner workings of software engineering teams, product development, vulnerability management, and how to navigate large organizations. In August, many of us attend Black Hat and/or DEF CON and we'd love to have you join us.
Our ideal candidate will have experience reading and writing code in Python and C/C++ and with using the Atlassian Suite (Jira most importantly, but also Confluence and Bitbucket.) Data analysis and visualization using tools like Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power BI (or other appropriate tools) will be part of the job. Knowledge of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and NIST SSDF are a plus. Our primary products are networking hardware and software, so an interest in networking is also a plus.
