Job Summary
PSEG is looking for Interns for Renewables & Energy Solutions, an organization that identifies, plans, and implements a portfolio of programs that support New Jersey's Clean Energy Vision. This portfolio includes Energy Efficiency, Electric Vehicles and Solar.
This job involves supporting PSE&Gs Energy Efficiency initiatives, utilizing a broad knowledge of business, analytical or engineering skills acquired through previous course work and on the job training. These positions support PSE&G's Clean Energy Future (CEF) initiative by implementing or supporting the many Energy Efficiency programs outlined in CEF, including Operational Excellence, Energy Efficiency (EE) Engineering, Residential EE, Commercial & Industrial EE, and Planning & Evaluation.
This position will be Hybrid from PSE&Gs Newark Office.
Job Responsibilities
  • Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas. Assignments to be determined upon assessing in interview and will include other responsibilities as required.
  • Operational Excellence - Support continuous improvement, process documentation, management reporting and analytics.
  • Energy Efficiency Engineering - Assist with lighting and prescriptive energy savings reviews.
  • Residential Energy Efficiency Implementation - Assist with analysis of trends to contribute to program implementation.
  • Commercial & Industrial Energy Efficiency; Direct Install - Assist with research and analysis supporting new program development and best practices.
  • Commercial & Industrial Energy Efficiency; Energy Solutions - Assist with research and analysis supporting new program development and best practices.
  • Commercial & Industrial Energy Efficiency - Assist with research and analysis supporting program development and best practices; interface with customers for quality assurance/quality control purposes. Vehicle will be required for this role.
  • Planning & Evaluation; Evaluation, Measurement & Verification - Assist with developing and implementing engineering protocols to determine energy savings.
  • Planning & Evaluation; Statewide Coordinator/On-Bill Repayment - Assist with Statewide Coordinator coordination and flaw reports/On-Bill exception requests.
  • Program Development: Assist with reviewing decarbonization policies and related categories among states; assist with program planning.

Job Specific Qualifications
Required Education/Skills: The successful candidate(s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Business, Political Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Finance, or similar majors. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Candidates must have completed Sophomore level course work for consideration. Because this position requires travel to various PSEG locations, a valid driver's license and a clean driving history are required,

  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
