SalaryThe State College Area School District's Department of Federal Programs is currently accepting applications for the following lead teacher positions for summer school programming:
- English as a Second Language Teachers
The District seeks dynamic, energetic educators who are student-focused and have knowledge of both theory and practice specific to the education of Pre K-6 learners. Organizational and collaborative skills are critical to success in this position. The District is searching for candidates who demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and development and possess various professional experiences.
Champs CampESL Teachers:
- Expected Dates: July 1, 2024 - July 25, 2024, plus pre-planning and training
- Job Duties: Planning, organizing, and instructing interactive lessons for English Learners; adapting and modifying curricular programs; screening, evaluating, and assessing ESL students.
- Compensation - Current SCASD teachers receive their hourly rate. All others receive $37.00 per hour.
- Certification: Preferred: ESL K-12; Required: any of the various PA certificates with an emphasis on elementary and middle-grade levels and experiences working with ESL learners.
