Responsibilities:
- Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by the absent teacher
- Provide instruction and support to students in the class you are assigned.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students, including those with autism or special education requirements
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Manage student behavior and ensure a safe and productive learning environment
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure continuity of instruction
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred
- Experience working with children, particularly in a teaching or tutoring capacity
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in education
- Familiarity with special education strategies and accommodations for students with diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and follow lesson plans effectively
