Located in Grand Rapids, MI, River City Scholars Charter Academy students enrolled for three or more years have outperformed their peers on the state test in ELA and math. We are also the home of a historical landmark. Built in 1907, our building has educated generations of future leaders - join us in making history! Opening our doors in 2012 and serving students K-8, we create endless opportunities for our students to become their best. HIGHLIGHTS:
Please note: This is an on-call, as-needed type of position. Opportunities to substitute will vary depending on the absence of a teacher or paraprofessional.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to execute a lesson plan that is assigned by the teacher.
Provide clear instruction and assist scholars in understanding a subject matter while maintaining discipline and control of the classroom.
Demonstrate moral focus and personal values to all stakeholders.
Self-starter with effective classroom management skills, strong leadership, and a passion for educating students.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must meet state requirements for being a Substitute.
