Substitute School Nurse

The Essex Westford School District is seeking on-call RNs to serve as Substitute School Nurses for the 2023-2024 school year. In the absence of the School Nurse, this position manages the health office. Duties include adhering to all safety protocols, triage, physical assessment, implementing health plans, responding to emergencies, and contacting parents, providers, and school staff as needed.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Vermont RN license.
• Two years of nursing with pediatric experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of student incidences and records
• Willingness and availability to work on short notice to cover unanticipated absences (e.g.: the morning of)

This position pays $280 per day.
