Mt. Mansfield Union High School seeks a qualified individual to fill a long-Term Substitute position as a high school Art Teacher. This position is responsible for a section of Introduction to Visual Arts, this is a survey course covering general art concepts and vocabulary as well as introduction to 2D and 3D art. The position is also responsible for 2 sections of Fine Metals/Jewelry Making and 1 section of Woodworking, these are introductory courses but the students have taken Introduction to Visual Arts.
A minimum of a BA and knowledge/experience with the teaching of Art is preferred. In addition, the ideal candidate will have the ability to work with diverse groups of students, creativity, belief that all students can learn, commitment to continuing learning, and effective communication with students, parents and peers.
